and when to stay silent? This is something I have been wrestling with lately. If it's not a "non-biblical" issue where is the line? What if it's just something offensive to one or two particular people? What if it's just a generalization? What if other people see and discuss it? What if it's been aired publicly and then that person gets upset (when they brought it up in the first place)? Comments? Suggestions?

I have made the mistake (more in the past when I was young and brash) of speaking when I hadn't been spoken to or giving an opinion when it wasn't asked for. yeah, I know you find that hard to believe. lol I think a good rule of thumb is "speak when spoken to, given an opinion when asked." Carefully weigh each situation before speaking. Is the person willing to listen or would you be talking into the wind. Check your own motives for speaking. Then ask yourself, "is it kind? true? helpful?" Just some thought for an early morning.
